"Day patient Gynological procedure"

About: Derriford Hospital

I had been here a year ago so knew what to expect. The staff are cheerful and friendly and most of all approachable which is a big factor when you are unust to being a hospital patient. I was having a procedure which was as a day patient. I was kept informed from the moment I checked in the consultant who was kind and very patient as I was quite nervous , the recovery area was quiet and I was in a single room which was nice for privacy. Every step was fully explained to me. The only thing was I was told to arrive at 11am and I was the last patient to go to surgery at 4pm but I do understand that this is unavoidable it's just a long time especially when you can't wander off or go for a coffee ( obviously because you shouldn't eat before surgery)

Overall this experience has helped me should I have to return for treatment in the future.

And I would like to say a big thank you to all the he hard working patient staff??
