"Burns treatment"

About: Bodmin Community Hospital Derriford Hospital / Plastic surgery

(as the patient),

What happened?

I had an incident at work involving a fire. I burnt my arms and face and was taken immediately to Bodmin minor injuries unit where I was treated by a nurse called Sam, an ex paramedic. He was efficient, kind, calming, jovial but with the right amount of humour, but at the same time still assessing my injuries.

The service was second to none, I couldn't have asked to be treated with any more kindness or professionalism. He liaised with the burns unit at Derriford hospital, where I was promptly taken and dealt with and was allocated a bed within a half  hour of arriving.

I would highly recommend Sam to any patient.
