What I liked
I was diagnosed with anaphylaxis about 6+ years ago and have been under the care of Glenfield Hospital from the beginning. I have been literally in and out of this Hopsital for various things on a regular basis, sometimes every week for a period of 6 weeks.
I can honestly say that I am 100% happy with the treatment and care I receive. The members of staff that look after me for have remained the same in the 6+ years which has a huge impact when you have to have ongoing treatment. I think there are 5 different staff members from nurses to doctors who now know me and I feel very comfortable with them.
I am so grateful for the continuous assistance and help I receive without me having to prompt them or ask for it. In fact, I don't think I ever have had to ask for anything as the doctors seem to be extremely understanding and efficient. Also, the nurse is brilliant, friendly and very helpful and there are more staff that I am appreciative of but I have forgot their names...sorry.
I have no complaints, just praise and appreciation for the allergy team at Glenfield Hopsital.
Thank you.
What could be improved
My only criticism, which is constructive, is whenever I have had to ring Glenfieldn Hospital, no one ever seems to know who does what, the times certain sessions are ran - like the blood room for instance, I rang asking where it was at Glenfield and what times they are open as our household relies on 1 car, and the lady on the phone, couldn't help me...instead she asked me to read her my letter which didn't prove successful as she said shed never heard of the blood test I require.
"Helpful, eager, understanding & consistent."
