What I liked
My elderly Father was admitted to Halstead Hospital to receive a blood transfusion. As he suffers from a degree of dementia I remained with him throughout the day, and witnessed the care he received first hand.
Every member of staff, from the doctor, sisters, nurses and non clinical staff were exceptional, they maintained a professional yet friendly approach at all times. Having had recent experience of a much larger hospital in the area for the same treatment I feel that larger hospitals could learn much from the staff at Halstead. They truly are a great credit to their profession and the Hospital and are to be congratulated.
They could not have made my Father feel more supported or comfortable, and indeed showed great consideration for my own comfort on the ward too - they really do go the extra mile for their patients, Halstead should be quite rightly proud of them. Thank you on behalf of both my Father and I. I hope that all my Father's future care can take place at Halstead Hospital.
What could be improved
Nothing, the staff were brilliant, as were the facilities.
"I would have no hesitation in recommending this..."
