"My husbands and the family treatment"

My husband suffered massive heart attack in the  ambulance outside our house.  He was blue lighted to Heartlands.   My neighbour drove me in - prob 45 mins to an hour with parking.   When we found out he was on Ward 6 we went straight there to be met by a wonderful nurse who said he had had his ‘procedure’ and was on his way to the Ward.  He had a stent inserted.  He still has two very bad blocked arteries which need sorting but Dr Pitt saved his life that morning.  The staff have been simply amazing, as a family and certainly my husband could not say a bad word about anything.   They are meticulous about cleaning.  His bed is changed daily ( this did not happen when I was in a different hospital last year ).  He isn’t out of the woods yet as he either needs  more stents or bypass but he couldn’t be in a better place.  We owe them so much.  Thank you Dr Pitt , his team and the wonderful staff on Ward 6.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding the care and treatment your husband received by the team on ward 6 at Heartlands Hospital.

I totally agree with you, although I appreciate the NHS is currently under pressure, it does offer a fabulous service.

I am pleased to read that you felt that your husband’s treatment was amazing and it will be my pleasure to ensure your feedback is highlighted to the senior management team.

I will ask that your posting is shared with the staff, as I am sure they will be absolutely delighted to read your positive comments.

I do hope your husband has recovered well following his procedure.
