I have recently had my 2nd hip replaced at BGH and this one was even better than the last one and it was fantastic but I was in hospital a little longer that time. This time op.done on Monday morning home after lunch on the Wednesday and that is down to the exemplary care by your hospital.
All staff involved in my care were attentive kind and very professional.
From pre-assesment to discharge I have nothing but praise.
My Consultant is wonderfull and a special mention to the theatre team who kept me calm. Anne who nursed me there and David you are truly in charge of what you do and Imogen my anaesthetist you are a very special lady and you all do high quality care.
Ward 9 is a very busy ward and all staff work extremely hard in making this orthopedic department and ward run smoothly and they work as a great team.
I know Mr Mehdi has been very involved in the quick turnaround of patients in recent years and I am truly grateful to him and his team.
I am now 7 weeks post op.and getting on fantastic no pain only gain every day my walking sticks which have been with me for nearly 5 years are not used at home but I take one out with me if I am going to be walking a lot but I know this will go soon.
My gratitude to all departments of BGH who play a part in the care of patients in their own way .
I have now got my life back as you have to suffer this demoralising pain to know how it has effected your everyday life.
I cannot think of anything negative to say only praise and thanks again I will be forever grateful to you all.
