"Ortgapedic surgery and after care"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

I went to see the othapedics due to knee pain who then sent me for a MRI scan. Upon receiving the results I was told I had a bucket tear to my cartilage on the inside of my knee. I questioned this as I was lead to believe that this surgereon had already removed all that cartilage at a previous operation. He was firstly adamant he had never seen me before until the day of surgery, when he confirmed he had previously operated. The surgery still went ahead. 12 weeks post op I went back in to see him but during this time had unfortunately damaged my opposite ankle, during the post op consultation he tried to remove the boot that I had fit during ankle surgery which says he didn't read his own notes and then confirmed to me I had no cartalige and discharged me without any explanation to him putting me through this surgery again. I am currently awaiting a referral to another hospital.
