This has now happened twice and I am very annoyed and wanted to share my story.
I have booked appointments to see the opthalmology clinic at Musgrove Park Hospital through the choose and book system. I am then given a date of my choice (several months in advance).
I then receive a letter but instead of confirming the appointment it says that "due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel your appointment...we will send you another date."
What is the point of sending patients the 'choice' of venues (with approximate waiting times) when the system is working so erratically?
How on earth can the system 'know' the date one day and then have to cancel this date (which is several months in advance!) due to 'unforeseen circumstances' by the following day's post! I would be grateful to know what these 'unforeseen circumstances' could possibly be.
