My four year old daughter was weighed and measured at school. I have received a letter back saying for her age, weight & height she is classed as overweight. SHE IS 4, she eats a balanced diet and is comfortably wearing ages 4-5 clothes (she is 5 early next year).
I don’t quite understand the point or importance of the assessment. Your branding CHILDREN overweight, which surely will risk leading to serious eating disorders and psychological breakdowns. She is in no way overweight and definitely does not need to go on a diet. I find your assessment unhealthy and ridiculous. It’s dangerous, and could give parents who may take this pointless assessment an unrealistic expectation of what their child should look like/weigh. Your creating issues that are not even there.
I look forward to a response.
Yours sincerely
"My Daughter"
