"Great scan experience, parking a nightmare"

About: Freeman Hospital / General medicine

(as a service user),

Got scanned on time, pretty short wait to see nurse specialist then another for some bloods. Friendly staff, professional and helpful. The whole experience was done and dusted inside a couple of hours. Building is old but immaculately clean - noticed a neat idea in the disabled loo (which was spotless). Equipment had little tags around saying "I am clean", simple cheap visual reminder that whoever used that piece of kit last has cleaned it properly. Smart thinking. All in all a great experience, apart from disabled car parking which is of course a nightmare - 4 or 5 bays within pushing distance if you are an independent traveller with a manual chair as I am. I almost parked in an ambulance bay and risked a ticket but at the last moment a space became available.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your care at the Freeman Hospital when coming in for a bone density scan and bloods. We are pleased staff were friendly and helpful and you were seen in good time, however we are aware disabled parking can be difficult at times but we are pleased you were able to get a place on this occasion. We have forwarded to the directorates concerned, who will share with the staff involved.
