"Urgent telephone appointment cancelled without notice"

About: Calder Community Practice

(as a service user),

Severely disabled and unable to physically attend the surgery. I rely on telephone appointments.

I was told I couldn’t have an appointment on the day I phoned despite another consultant asking me to urgently contact my GP regarding my disability. I finally got an appointment for another day, which after waiting between 8am -8pm on the appointment day I received no telephone appointment. I received no call from the practice either. I now face waiting another day for an urgent appointment and waiting all-day again. I have no idea whether the same thing will happen again.

Some reception staff are unempathic and very unhelpful.
