"Broken wrist"

About: Derriford Hospital / Accident and emergency

My wife fell and a visit to the Accident and Emergency Dept, at 9am on May Bank holiday Monday, confirmed that she had a double break of her wrist. We were there for just over 2hrs and in all areas of treatment the staff were friendly, sympathetic and careful to minimise the pain and discomfort of the treatment. There followed 3 subsequent visits to the plaster clinic, none of which lasted much more than an hour, we saw 3 different teams, all of which were friendly, efficient and careful to put my wife at ease and pain free. I was apprehensive before our initial visit, but the whole experience was made as stress free as possible by the staff, from reception to treatment.Thank you Derriford
