I was sent for a CT scan on my right lung by my doctor - a blood clot was found. I was put in the Fitzwilliam Ward and was put on warfarin. I had been on warfarin before. I was also put on antibiotics for a lung infection and also iron tablets. I was kept in the hospital taking warfarin.
One day I fell asleep during the afternoon during which time doctors came to see me but could not wake me up. I was in a sleep apnea state (sort of semi conscious) I was aware of what was going on but my body could not react. During my awakening my identity strap was broken (I told the doctor I had sleep apnea) later on of the nursing staff in dark blue uniform told me I was lazy, which I am not and did not admit? I was discharged the same day, my warfarin dose being set at 1 milligram? I do not want to get nurses into bother but this actually happened.
I now go to the warfarin clinic in the Sitwell wing, and now see Dr Bardsley for my sleeping problem for which I have a medicine. I hope you find it interesting. There was no follow up about my state of which I would have discussed this.
I felt like the doctors were glad to get rid of me. I find Rotherham hostpials excellent having been in Boston and Bassetlaw and the one bed hospital in Skegness.
I hope you are enlightened.
