About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as a service user),

Received hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy today at UWH. The staff, from admin through to clinical were all fantastically welcoming. 

They put me at ease, reassured me prior and post procedure. The anaesthetist listened to my  previous experience regarding a general anaesthetic and offered me anti sickness meds, which has made a huge difference to my recovery. The surgeon came to me post surgery with photos taken during the  procedure and explained what I was looking at. The nursing staff provided wonderful pre and more importantly post care. This was so appreciated when you’re sleepy and vulnerable.   

Thank you to all the day surgery team. You are all fantastic. 🌟
