What could be improved
The signage at this hospital needs serious and urgent attention. The medical assessment unit is not where it's shown on the map at the main entrance, and it's not listed on the sign boards at the lift lobbies. In fact it's in the surgical block (hardly intuitive), and signs pointing to it only begin when one has almost reached it.
No doubt the management regards this as a trivial point, but it's an important contributor to the user experience. As a one-off visitor, I have better things to do than traipse the corridors looking for my destination, and staff have higher priorities than to give me directions which should not be necessary in the first place.
If such an obvious and simple aspect of facilities management is being neglected/mismanaged, what less obvious and more serious issues might there be behind the scenes?
