"Laughs in the plaster room"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Today 6th March I had to have my dressings taken off ,stitches out and new plaster putting on my foot. Waiting time was only about 10 mins but I was a little early anyway once in the treatment room the member of staff who was treating me realised I had another appointment for the next week , which would probably be a waste of time as with a new chalk on nothing could be seen. He spoke to the appropriate people and did the procedure all in 1 go and cancelled the later appointment. He was very professional but funny and reassuring all at the same time making an uncomfortable experience painless. He even took time to speak to my daughter giving her instruction on how to make me do as I’m told haha. Most of the nhs staff I’ve encountered-over the years ( I’m 60) have been brilliant but this member of staff went the extra mile Thank you
