What I liked
i was 34 weeks pregnant and went in for a scan because i could not feel baby move, the nurse told me in such an abrupt way your baby is dead, just two days before that i was in the clinic and i had been having problems over christmas, the on call doctor called me in had a look at my file said its fine when i tried telling him, he just went on to say its ok and did no urine tests, blood pressure, blood test, tummy measurement., anyway i went into labour on saturday morning early hours they could not find my file, kept me waiting was not allowed on to the bed because i had to wait for them to find my file then go straight to the delivery room! i had to wait at least an hour in pain, then when in there had asked for pain relief the nurse and dctor kept going in and out, teelling me that there is apin lock on the morphine box and that i had to wait until someone would come to open it, the air and gas i was given was absulotly empty , the nurse kept telling me that i did not know how to use it, when 2 hours later she told me it was not working and for 2 hours id been sucking on nothing at the time i kept telling her and she insisted i did not know how to use it (iv already had 3 stillborns and two children, how could i not know how to use it!). afterward they asked if i want photos, but no one asked me to sign anything, when icame home 2 weeks later the nurse phoned to ask me to come to sign the consent forms and then take the photo, so they took phots without a consent form being sighned, the post mortem forms were given aphotocopy but only the front and back page, with absolutly no details what so ever. i am gutted with the service i got horriefied at being treated the i was.
What could be improved
the whole process from being in the clinic and taken seriously to being treated with respect when the know what the patient is going through especially as it was my fourth stillborn.
Anything else?
not organised with paper work for patients, who they know are coming in, lack of staff and failure with medicines.
"was a horrible experience overall."
