What could be improved
had an MRI scan on Monday 11 April and had to go back to the St Mary's Unit on 13th April at 3.15pm. My GP believed I had MS due to my symptoms. The consultant I saw was extremely rude and uncaring. I have difficulty with some movements as I do not have the strength I should have in my legs and arms, they were very aggressive towards the fact that I could not lift my leg up as high as they wanted me to, or could not grip their fingers as hard as they thought I should be able to do. They then proceeded to check my breathing, but did not ask me to remove my jacket, on asking me to breath in and out they could not hear well and their comment to me was at least you can breath in and out; once I had decided to take my jacket off all was better. They quickly looked at my scan were not interested in how I was feeling or my symptons, said the scan was Ok, nothing more I can do and dismissed me.
They were very intimidating, cold and rude. I still have the symptons, which are protein in my spinal cord when I had a lumber punch, pins and needles over all my body, fatigue and poor muscle movements and balance. Where do I go from here.
Never want to see this consultant again. I am sure I cannot be the first patient to complain about their manner.
"I was very hurt, humilitated and now..."
