It's been 18months/2 years since I used, I've got no worries or concerns about that - I am sure that I'll never use again now. My aim is to be off suboxone by the end of the year and I think I'll achieve that.
I see the doctor at Guernsey House and I see the counsellor at DIP.
I had one slip up a while back. I was being a bit devious, I was going through a lot and I wasn't sleeping well. I thought my keyworker would give me a hard time and I'd feel like a stupid school boy but instead they were really understanding, talked to me about it all. She was great, I shouldn't have been nervous of telling her at all. It was a bit of a set back, but it was ok. I'm much better now, it wasn't a major relapse so I still feel like I'm on the way to recovery.
If things go off track, I know who I need to call.
I start volunteering tomorrow. I just want to get out of the flat and do something. I'm hoping that might lead to work. The good thing is that when I'm occupied and busy, I will tire myself out and will be able to stop taking tablets to sleep. The less stuff I'm on, the better!
