My brother has been treated in Ayr Hospital, Station 10 since he damaged his elbow 5 weeks ago. At that time he was found to have secondary cancer in his bones and liver originating from his gullet.
In the last 10 days the spread of cancer to his neck and brain has resulted in his readmission to station 10 due to a seizure having caused damage to his vertebrae.
The staff in Station 10 have been exceptional in their care and attention, staff in A&E also facilitated my brother's wedding to his wife on admission and could not have been more caring and supportive.
I am so grateful to all the staff in Ayr Hospital, but particularly those in A&E and Station 10 for everything they have done, and continue to do for my brother and for us as a family during this very difficult time.
