"11 year old daughter in A and E"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

Attended A and E at 9.20 with my daughter who was suffering acute pain.

The dept was clearly overwhelmed as we all know but the two nurses on duty (yes two for paeds A&E!!) were polite and fantastic with the children present despite clearly being run ragged.

Provided parents with cups of tea at about 11pm and put film on television for the children.

The NHS is at crisis point but just wanted to highlight the amazing job the majority of those on ground level work extremely hard, with compassion and care in continually stretched depts.

made our stay at least a bit more bearable ??

Thank you very much for feeding back your comments.

The Paediatric A&E team will really appreciate your compliment.

We hope your daughter is recovering well.

Kind regards.
