"Gallbladder surgery"

About: Spire Leicester Hospital

At the beginning of October 2017

I had a keyhole Gallbladder removal done by the Professor at Spire Leicester. From booking a consultation to operation I was seen and treated within a week.

I cannot speak highly enough regarding my treatment and care. All of the staff I saw or dealt with were courteous, professional and kind and I felt very well looked after.

I self funded for the operation as the NHS waiting list was quite long. my Gallbladder attacks were getting more frequent and prolonged. I have just retired and want to enjoy more travel my insurance would not cover me for my condition I preferred to have elective surgery sooner rather than later or in a strange country. Whilst not cheap I feel it was the best decision I made and the care and service I received justified a lot of the cost paid to get back to a normal life.
