I had a acl replaced in my left knee,,, the experience was traumatic ....
Ive never seen such a low standard of aftercare for patients that have surgery ....
I was treated by a pshysio therapist who was more concerned about getting me on my feet, so they could go home {they said this to the nurse in front of me}....considering I was half awake because the anaesthetic hadn't worn off
.....I was actually brought around by inaudible shouting.....I woke up in such a fright...I was actually shocked. I jolted up and asked where am I whats going on/whats wrong/is everything ok.....because I jolted up, the pain I felt was like anything I felt before....I laid back only for this nurse to continue their shouting......I had to hold my ears my ears and ask her to stop.......and please go away..you have just made me hurt myself by shouting at me.....I asked a senior nurse several times if was being discharged or going home ....I was ignored and left there...the experience I had was horrifying.....I would not recommend this hospital for surgery....I'm am currently pursuing a complaint about my treatment.....I still am trying to come to terms with what actually happened .............
