I visited St James Hospital on a few occasions for both Physiotheraphy and to visit the Orthotics department. The staff were all wonderful and friendly and I wouldn’t say a bad word about them.
The state of the hospital though is disgusting. The corridors are lined with cages which are either empty of full of rubbish. The area near one of the lifts feels like you’re in the garbage area due to the number of large wheely bins.
On my first visit I went to use the toilet in the reception area to find one cubicle covered in the blood and the next had no toilet roll.
I feel like a little more love and care is needed. I wouldn’t want to visit this hospital if I needed to stay or have surgery as I wouldn’t be confident of it’s cleanliness.
"Not the best"
