"Prescription Problem"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I attended my routine Dermatology appointment at Ayr hospital last week. I was given a written prescription to take to my GP surgery for medicine that previously was issued by the hospital pharmacy. The problem is my GP can't read what the prescription says and needs confirmation on it from the Consultant who issued it. I phoned my doctors surgery (Townhead Surgery in Irvine) and was told they have been trying to get in contact since last week via phone and email with no success. I would be grateful if someone could look into this as I now have no medication.

Thank you

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.
