"A family loss handled expertly and compassionatly"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Sadly, i lost my brother due to a bleed on the brain. As he was a Organ donor, he was kept in the ITU until he could be taken to surgery to have the relevant organs removed to help other people. At all times the nurses in ITU (especially one nurse) could not do enough for me, answering any and all questions i had.

My brother was treated with the upmost respect even though he had already passed away, the nurses again informing me what each one of the machines were doing to keep his organs going.

The hospital in general was a hive of activity all over the place, but despite this, was immaculatly clean. All hospital staff i dealt with from the staff on the reception to the nurses on the ward were extremely plesant and helpful.

A 5* hospital that people of Ashford, and indeed Kent, can be proud of. Thank you for the compassion and expertise shown.
