I stayed at royal oldham hospital at 17 weeks pregnant after being transferred from Fairfield general hospital. I was suffering with chest pains and very breathlessness after Fairfield general only transferred me due to being dehydrated and needed fluid.
Oldham royal took the care and time to do scans, ultrasounds, put me on blood thinning injections and am currently waiting on results for blood clots.
If it wasn't for oldham royal hopsital going the extra mile and understanding the breathing wasn't normal for me. I'm not sure where I would be now or if there is blood clot travelling to my main arterteries. Fairfield was ready to discharge me and told me it's viral.
Here at oldham royal the midwives are brilliant, they take the extra time out for you, and they are very thorough with the examinations and have no problems with partners and family staying with you while you're in the wards which can be a real comfort to not be alone.
I have now asked and filled out forms to be transferred to give birth at royal oldham hospital, rather than north Manchester as I feel so comfortable with the staff and service
