About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Ophthalmology University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I have an eye ulcer and infection of the lids, went to a&e at wishaw general and they then sent me to an eye specialist the following morning, very happy with the quick service.

When at the specialist at hairmyers hospital I was very pleased with the doctor I seen, he was amazing! he checked over my eye thoroughly and prescribed antibiotics drops to take the ulcer away. I advised I am currently breastfeeding and the doctor I seen took his time to fully research the best and safest antibiotic to be used in this case. He made me feel very valued and at ease. Very glad to have seen such a friendly and precautious doctor. Well done to the NHS!
