My 2 year old daughter was recently admitted to the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital via A&E for a pneumonia. She stayed for two nights in the Medical ward. During her care, she was seen by multiple doctors and nurses, who were all diligent and reassuring.
It was a difficult time for myself, as no parent finds it easy seeing their child very unwell, but my concerns were always welcomed with the utmost respect and compassion.
My daughter was thoroughly monitored and although she was very poorly on admission, by the time we were discharged, she was greatly improved and back to her usual chirpy self. I was given medicines with clear instructions, and notes explaining the care she received.
I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and skill in treating my daughter; not just for her being physically well again, but also for the tact and professionalism expressed during the medical procedures, which were delicately handled to comfort my child and reassure her that she was in safe hands. Additionally, thank you for providing entertainment and a lovely variety of food during her stay. A scary experience for us both was dramatically eased with the pure excellence of your staff and I am forever thankful for her good health and fond memories despite the situation. Keep up the fantastic work.
