"Sure Start has always been there for me to offer support"

Sure Start has played a massive part in my childrens life.

I suffered from depression quite badly around the time my son was born and I managed to force myself for the sake of my son to go to the Awsworth Sure Start. We very quickly both started to benefit from this. I slowly became more confident making new friends and so did my son!

We started attending more sure start sessions and making plans to meet up with new sure start friends.

I know have a little girl and I bring her to all the Sure Start sessions I can, she has developed massively since coming to Sure Start with her confidence and talking. Sure Start has always been there for me to offer support and advice when I have needed it and to stop me and the kids going INSANE in the holidays!

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on this forum and sharing your experience for others to see. It sounds like you have really managed to turn yourself around to now have more confidence and benefit from the services we offer.

The staff always work hard to provide activities that meet the needs of local families and I am sure they will appreciate your feedback.
