"The staff were professional, caring and competent"

About: Borders General Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

I have hot sweats at night and sore swollen neck glands. No other symptoms, which mystified GPS at my medical center. I was referred to the acute Assessment unit at regional hospital Borders General. I spent 6 hours have blood tests, lung X-ray, and neck and throat scan, in other words a very thorough examination, ruling out anything I might have picked up on my February trip to Latin America. But still none the wiser as to exactly what this rare condition is! I return for a further scan and for further assessment. The staff were very professional, caring, and competent.

Dear Bridge of Transy,

Thank you very much for taking the time to let us know of your experience within AAU in the Borders General Hospital. This is a fledgling service in the BGH which aims to deliver investigation and treatment (where necessary) without the need for admission into hospital. I am so glad that your investigations were reassuring and that we are continuing to monitor you to ensure that your recovery is complete.

I will let the staff involved know about your positive experience - I know that they will appreciate you taking the time to let us know!

Best wishes for your continued recovery!

Lynn
