I wanted to thank the ambulatory transport crew who picked me up from home and took me to Wishaw general for my appointment at the orthopedic clinic. I am being assessed for a hip replacement as it dislocates very easily.

I have needed to use this service a few times due to knee replacements and my other hip replacement, It has been excellent each time. They ensure I get to the clinic and then collect me when my appointment is over and I can then go home. I’ve always found the service to be very good.

My appointment at Wishaw General was also very good, the staff are caring and efficient, understandably some appointments take longer than others so sometimes have to wait but it’s never been a problem.

Dear Closer140

Our Patient Transport Service transports thousands of patients every day and is a vital service for so many of our patients. The Ambulance Care Assistants who directly care for patients and the Ambulance Control Centre staff who arrange and plan the journeys work extremely hard but do not always receive the credit they deserve. Therefore I was really pleased to hear about your experience and your praise for our staff.

I do hope that everything goes well with your hip replacement and thank you so much for sharing.
