Taken by ambulance to A&E Majors who sent patient to Minors.
Left in a cubicle for over 30 minutes before any member of staff came.
No obs done at all from arrival in ambulance or while in minors.
Blood taken and results meant transfer to Majors so back on a trolley.
Dumped in a cubicle with curtain half drawn, no attempt by staff to close it and try and preserve some dignity.
Blood splashes on wall, grubby walls, curtains left wide open both sides.
No obs done for an hour.
Had to ask nurse to close curtain to preserve what little shred of dignity left to patient, they just stood leaving it open for carer the other side to see everything going on.
Asked for pain relief from a doctor who said they would get a nurse.
Half an hour later the nurse brought water but they had dropped the tablets so waited another ten minutes.
The nurse did not say what the four tablets were, patient in such horrendous pain and unable to focus on what was given.
Doctor came, had patient's name wrong and kept mispronouncing it so notes could not be found.
Eventually sent up to ward, but porter had wrong ward and did not to listen to nurse who tried three times to correct them.
Just dumped in corridor rather than left in cubicle while notes were found, very busy with staff squeezing through while porter just sat on chair waiting.
No dignity for patient.
Not an experience that shows the hospital is out of special measures.
