"Catering dreadful"

About: Salisbury District Hospital / General surgery

Attended a clinic with my elderly mother yesterday which ran into lunchtime.

Staff were as wonderful as always in the nursing and care/ support teams... But needing to buy some hot food sadly let down the experience.

I'm sure the cafe is outsourced and staff using it regularly are too weary and rushed to notice how bad the food is.

A real shame that poorly cooked tasteless and mainly unhealthy options are churned out by a less than helpful catering team.

Otherwise a very good hospital with clearly dedicated staff.

Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback and we’re glad that you were pleased with the care you received from our staff. However, we’re sorry that you were unhappy with the food. We do cook fresh food on site and always welcome comments so that we can make improvements where they may be needed. We would like to look into this further, but would need to know which part of the hospital you were in. We would be grateful if you could contact our facilities manager on 01722 336262, extension 5601. In the meantime, we would like to thank you again for taking the time to comment and we are sorry that the issues you raised here have affected your overall experience of our hospital.
