What I liked
The staff was friendly and informative.
When I asked how many people were still infront of me, she looked it up and told me, so that I could estimate how long I still had to wait.
What could be improved
I was at the A&E dpt on a Monday evening.
Mondays are the most busiest days of the week I have been told by the doctor later, but this particular Monday was exceptional busy as I was waiting close to 4 hours.
I was not upset about this because ny case was not as sever but then again, if it had been I would have suffered there waiting for a long time to be helped.
I wished that the hospital could offer at least something for people who have to wait for hours.
I was thinking of magazines or a TV on the wall, or a free cold water dispenser.
The commercial drinks machine was broken by the way.
Waiting for almost 4 hours ?
Well, if you don't have any alternative anyway then you might as well hang in there but the NHS system in this country is pretty poor.
I say that mainly because I'm very disappointed with most general practicioners in Lodnon.
Anything else?
The staff being friendly makes a lot of difference to cope with the poor health system.
I have been in hospital for a month in 2006 (NHNN) and almost all staff I met were very friendly.
Otherwise I wouldn't have recovered as good as I had to be honest.
Why do I say that ?
Because it DOES make a difference HOW you're treated.
At the same time we have to be realistic about what to be able to expect.
