So two knee surgeons over three years three surgeries after a martial arts sports injury....from 2013/2014
I was Transferred to Guys Hospital knee surgeon as a frustrated patient late 2015/2016, found out I had an ACL rupture, and a connective tissue disorder (EDS) at Guys Hospital, and now I'm running after 9 weeks post ACL surgery... I cried when I ran again!
What else can I say but Mr Bliss and team your legends!
Also I would like to say to Anne and the nurses on the Monday clinic and also the sister and male nurse, are wonderful people, who I generally joke about with and always give me some positivity, especially after years of frustration and they understand how I feel and never judged me....
Mr Bliss secretary has been wonderful in communicating every and helping me with certain issues and frustrations also deserves great recognition. she works hard and sometimes I think the NHS should recognise them better.
A singing receptionist at orthopaedics Monday clinic, what more could anyone else want after a two hour train journey to Guy hospital, its nice to see there is still fun in hospitals.
So soon I should be signed off after four years after gaining the right diagnosis! excited is not the word I will actually be running out the door! thanks to your team! ! I now have a reason for four years of no explanations anything is possible at Guys Hospital with the amazing team you have...
Now I plan to raise awareness of the difference of joint hyper mobility (JHS) to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) so patients can get the right diagnosis.
"knee fixed four years on thanks to great guys hospital team"
