Cannot speak too highly of the care I received from diagnosis through the operation to discharge. Every stage of the process was conducted to high professional standards. My experience included Orthopaedic outpatients for pre-op assessments and information, Orthopaedic inpatient care in both the Sandbourne and Derwent suites and a post-op follow up in the Investigation unit to check for a possible dvt. Everywhere, I felt respected, was consulted and informed and everyone, without exception was courteous and friendly. This was not only true of those excellent clinicians but also of support staff providing portering, catering and cleaning services. On the odd occasion when I had to wait for some aspect of care apologies were always given. The facilities were excellent and comfortable. As I write this I'm making good progress with my recovery. So pleased to be able to say a huge and sincere 'thank you' to all involved and commend the Royal Bournemouth General Hospital as a true centre of excellence.
