I had my thyroid removed 8 years ago for cancer. It was discovered that it had spread to the lymph nodes 8 years later and I had to have them surgically removed. During my stay in hospital I was treated very well by the nurses and doctors. The meals were also very nice. The surgery itself was more complicated than expected and I was in surgery for longer than originally thought. The hospital was the Royal Hallamshire Hospital Sheffield.
