My life was saved mid October 2009 when I went for some physiotherapy at Rotherham Community Health Centre. Debbie was the physiotherapist who saw me, and whom i had seen before. I found her to be polite, courtious and professional.
On this day I was to have some treatment to my neck, and on this occaision Debbie told me she didn't like the look of the lump on my throat. She strongly advised me to see my doctor straight away, to phone for an appointment as soon as I got home.
I don't think she believed I would, so she asked if she could phone for me then and there if I didn't mind. I said I didn't, and from there on my whole life changed for the better thanks to the NHS. I have always been treated kindly and in a very considerate way.
I was diagnosed with neck and throat cancer, and since this has happened I have been treated in a most professional manner by all staff I came in to contact with from all the Sheffield Hospitals. I wish to commend them all, but especially Debbie.
I have been trying to contact her to give my most sincere thanks, but I have been unable to do so. If possible, could this young professional be commended for me and thanked from the bottom of my heart.
