I received surgery on my spine at Sick Kids in Edinburgh. Mr Tsirikos, and the nurses in ward 4 were absolutely amazing. Going through a spine operation is a scary thing, especially when you are so young. There was some complications after the surgery so I had to stay in longer than expected.
I now play football for Aberdeen Ladies with 2 rods and 14 metal bolts holding me together.
I've noticed that nurses do not get enough credit for their job. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Unique souls who pass through your life for a minute and impact it for an eternity.
So, to every single nurse out there, thank you. Thank you for washing us, caring for us, believing in us, feeding us, and supporting us.
