I went to the hospital today asking for the youth clinic walk in. Firstly, they laughed at me and told me they've never had one. The person behind the reception desk then practically shouts "DO YOU NEED FAMILY PLANNING". Clearly infront of people who I vaguely know this is just highly embarrassing for it not even to be asked politely. I then go "I just wanted to see the youth clinician for a few reasons.". The receptionist asks about family planning once more. Can I add, it concerns me that the receptionist wasn't aware that there's more to a youth clinic than talk about sex. I gave up and had to walk out after the receptionist laughed at me once more and said there's never been a walk in youth clinic. I research this online only to find a page that offers a youth clinic from 3-5 on a Monday. I walked 40 minutes out of my way to confidentially visit the youth clinic. I then called the phone number on the website and they confirmed it no longer ran as of recent but had been running for a long time. The person at the reception MUST have known there was recently a youth clinic? I'm appalled with how I was spoken to, and it took me a long time to build up the courage to go in there and now I'm too anxious to visit a hospital regarding my concerns again. Really disappointed and in all honesty, quite worried about my health as a result of this.
"Rude receptionist"
