About: The Maidstone Hospital / Neurology

My wife Cynthia first visit to local Dr. with shaking hand in June 15. The doctor wrote requesting a visit to Neurology. Appointment with consultant 26 Oct 15. Scan arranged for 20 Nov 15. Awaiting results, concerned? It was necessary to chase Dr for these. Kept waiting, concerned and eventually phoned and received these on 22 Jan 16. Dictated 7th Jan . Prescribed co-careldopa. Follow up appointment arrived 12 Mar 16, will see you again in Nov. Arranged for nurse to make appointment. Appointment eventually for 19 July with report on 22 July (excellent) .

Now 9th Jan17 and nothing further. So, do I wait for them or make a nuisance of myself.

My personal experience was even worse. Sent home on a Friday from A&E after reporting in with pain in the chest. Following Sat 8 days, called 999 taken to Emergency, sat for 4 hours on a chair, eventually attended to and taken to a ward. Later transferred to Cardiac CCU and remained there over weekend. Monday doctor came after seeing their patients, the doctor looked at my notes and burst out. "your having a heart attack". In 10 minutes in blue light ambulance I was sent to Pembury and immediately underwent an angioplasty with a stent. Didn't end there but I think that is enough to affirm my view of Maidstone Hospital
