"Food took 2 hours to arrive"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18)

(as a relative),

Mum was in ward 17 with a bleed from the back passage, been there for a few days

Been very confused, sat with her to help with her dinner which we waited for 2hour and when asking was told it was on it's way needless to say it was 7 o'clock by then,

Mum is 85 really don't know if she had lunch she was starving.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch. I share your concerns regarding your mum having to wait 2 hours for her food, this is unacceptable. I will discuss this with the ward staff and investigate why this happened.

Please accept my apology. I hope your mum is making a good recovery.
