What I liked
I was treated quickly.
What could be improved
Staff attitude towards dignity. Staff need to apply general guidelines given by professional bodies to intimate examinations. The patient needs to be greeted and allowed to ask questions, the procedure needs to be explained in advance, the patient needs to be sufficiently covered during the procedure and staff need to communicate with one another as well as the patient. Reception staff also need training. It is not appropriate to refer to patients as 'love', particularly when the professional knows the patient's name. I would not recommend this hospital.
Anything else?
A more caring manner needs to be adopted by staff. Communication issues need to be resolved. Staff need training in dealing with stressed patients. There needs to be a clearer complaints policy and the complaints need to be handled within the time limits set by their own policies.
"I was treated quickly."
