"fantastic care and service"

I had my hip replacement surgery on Wensleydale Ward at Harrogate Hospital. From the moment I arrived on this very busy ward I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The small 4 bedded ward was spotlessly clean, bright and airy. I stayed for 3 nights and 3 days and I can honestly say it was an extremely positive experience. The staff, from the cleaners to the health care assistants to the nurses to the lovely Sister Sarah were amazing. The occupational therapist and physio staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. They were always friendly and encouraging. For the op itself I had a spinal. Which I would thoughly recommend. The consultant anaesthetist explained the procedure to me, reassuring me completely. I woke up after my op bright and feeling fine. Of course, the real big thank you goes out to my surgeon, Mr Conroy. Without his skill and professionalism I would still be suffering great pain and reduced mobility. There is still a long way to go with my recovery but due to the fantastic care and service I received at this wonderful hospital I feel confident of an active future. Thank you.
