"Fantastic care in ward 15"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the staff on ward 15 who cared for my baby when we were admitted to the hospital in October. Everyone from the receptionist who got me a cup so I didn't waste my coffee to the matron who popped in every morning to make sure we were getting everything we needed were fantastic! Victoria and Nicky were our nurses and were a credit to the nhs. I was very nervous about being in hospital but they were so kind and friendly and took such care of us that I felt totally happy that my boy was being given the best possible care. They even took care of me and made sure I had a comfy chair and juice! All the other parents in the room with me felt the same. We got home a bit sooner than we'd thought so I didn't have a chance to hand in a card and chocolates like I'd planned, so thought I'd take the time to say a big thank you here!

Dear Kat1987

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care that both your young son and yourself received when he unfortunately required to be admitted last year.

As you say, coming in to hospital is a nervous time for patients and their families. We are delighted that you felt your son received a high level of care and that staff paid attention to your needs also. It is always great when the dedication and hard work of our staff is recognised. Both the General Manager and the Chief Nurse have passed on your feedback and their appreciation to the ward team and Victoria and Nicky in particular.

I am pleased to hear that your son was well enough to get home sooner than anticipated and I hope he continues to keep well.

Best wishes

Pam
