This year, my son was born 6 weeks early after a scheduled induction. Following a caesarean, my son was transferred to the NICU where the care he received was fantastic, in particular, my partner and I would like to thank Amanda and Sheryl who were really wonderful in helping us getting involved with our sons care and gave regular updates.

I was supposed to have my baby in Paisley RAH however due to lack of space I was transferred to Wishaw. My partner and I live in Greenock. After I was discharged, the Neonatal unit went out of their way to arrange an on call room and food for my partner and I. While seeing my son in nicu and, essentially, living in a hospital was difficult it was made so much easier by the wonderful staff, who my family will always be grateful to.

Hello Ewansmummy,

Congratulations on the birth of your son and I hope you are both well. This would have been a really emotional time for you and it is reassuring to hear that the care your son and support yourselves received was fantastic and that this made these difficult circumstances somewhat easier.

Our staff aim to ensure that parents when ready are involved in all aspects of care. Being able to stay in our accommodation means you were able to spend more time close to your son. I am sure you will all have benefited from this and this often then makes the transition to going home better. Our staff will really appreciate that you have taken the time to send this very positive and supportive feedback, I shall share this with all the team and especially Sheryl and Amanda who will also be delighted to receive this.
