My mum had to go to Charing Cross Hospital for an operation. The letter said she was meant to be there at 7:30 am. We woke up at 4 am to travel and get there on time at 7 am. We waited in the seating area until somebody said to us she could eat at 11:30 am and we were told she was also allowed liquids until 3pm. At 2pm I asked a member of staff what time roughly would the operation be at since we've been waiting for several hours and they were so rude. A large portion of the staff here is rude. I was snapped at for asking where the toilets are. We are still waiting for any more info, scared to ask staff in case they were rude and caused a scene again. Hate this hospital. No stars for cleanliness either. The toilets on the sixth floor have holes in the ceiling and sections missing. There is faeces on the walls. The women's toilets on the 1st floor last year had an unlocked boiler cupboard with a beer can, used sanitary towel and bloodied condom inside. I complained to staff and thought this year would be cleaner. Nope. Cupboard still unlocked and the bloodied condom is still inside on the floor. It's been a year. I took photographic evidence so if my mother contracts MRSA, you will be looking at a law suit...
