"The live team were great"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health (inpatient)

(as a staff member),

The live team put together an activity for patients that started at 6pm. Patients were encouraged to go and those that did gave great feed back. Some of the patients on the ward after seeing what the others had made stated that 'I wished I had gone now'. This activity was at a time of the evening in which patients find the most boring and at times the most diffcult. This activity was great as a distraction for the patients on the ward. I hope these groups continue as they are great benifit to our patients. The live team were great and come to the ward to discuss activity and the best patient groups to attend.

Hi Happy Nurse,

I am extremely pleased to hear that patients enjoyed the social evening at Highbury. As a team we intend to run these kind of events on a regular basis as it is clearly what patients and staff feel is beneficial in helping to reduce boredom and to socialise. As the festive period approaches there are a number of exciting events coming up for patients and staff to attend both at Highbury but also Millbrook and Bassetlaw.

For more information please contact the team on the number below.
