"Vacum abortion at 7 weeks 4 days (under general..."

About: BPAS Richmond CC/Clinic

It was the best thing to meet with BPAS during this process. Their help line provided very comprehensive and informative directions before the operation.

The staffs at Richmond gave me the best care service before and after abortion.

I had 2 appointments. 1st one was on 8th of October and the 2nd one was 20th of October. During the first appointment; ( it was at 11.30 and i was done at 1.30pm) the first nurse took my bloods, weight and height, I then went back in to the waiting room second nurse then called me and I had my scan done to determine how many weeks I was and my reasons for the termination, the nurse then discussed contraception with me and what one I ideally wanted to go for if any they then discussed all terminations with me so I I could decide what one was best for me then back in to the waiting room. It was all.

My second appointment which I had my abortion in the 20.10.2016 was at 12.30 and i was called at 1pm and taken to the surgical operation at 1.30pm. Finally i was discharged at 5pm.

The process at abortion date:

12.30-12.45; the nurse called me and checked my information and told the whole process then asked me if I had eaten as for the general anesthesia I could have a light something to eat until 6 hrs before and drink until 2hrs before the operation.

I then went back in to waiting room.

1pm: the nurse called me for theatre and I got changed in to my gown, blanket and sleepers they provided.

1.30pm: I was taken to the theatre room, firstly the anesthetist came and the medicine was given into the vein. They were very good i felt nothing :)

In five minutes, the other team members of the operation arrived and they introduced themselves, then i fell asleep. I didn't feel anything during the operation üt was very quick and as far as they said it was done in 5-10min.

2-4pm at the recovery room: When i was woke up, it was 2pm and i was at recovery room with a nurse. After 15min, they put me a single coach and checked my blood pressure.

Because i have a low blood pressure, i had to stay longer than i expected at the recovery room. Nurses wanted to be sure i am totally fine. They are all fussy and great. Gave me water, squash and biscuits to increase my blood pressure. I experienced sickness so the nurse asked doctor to give medicine for it.

4-4.30pm at the resting hall: Once the nurses were all sure that i looked fine, i was sent to the resting hall to eat some muffins-biscuits and drinks coffee, tea, water. A nurse accompanied to me when i go to resting hall.

4.30-5pm: A nurse called me for the discharge. They gave me antibiotics and told me after care process. Again they came with me

to the reception before i left the clinic.

To sum up; i appreciated all the BPAS team that provides me best care. They turned my nightmare to a simple operation. I wouldn't have this experience without them <3 <3
